HOW TO FIND US

Patients Travel to Our Swindon Clinic from all across the UK

While the majority of our patients come from the towns and counties listed, we have also treated patients from many different countries and from remote parts of the UK, including the Outer Hebrides — so in many respects our areas covered extend far and wide.

Our consultant-led clinic is based in Swindon, with patients travelling from across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and beyond for expert, minimally invasive vein care. The clinic is easy to reach by car and public transport, with convenient parking available.

Why we only offer hospital-based, single-site care

Modern vein treatments are low risk, but national registry data from 12,000 patients, shows that complications are far more likely when procedures are carried out in pop-up clinics, high street units or industrial estates. In fact, serious events such as allergic reactions, blood clots or strokes were reported nearly five times more often when procedures were performed in standalone centres. Long-term wound problems and deep vein thrombosis were also more common when patients were treated in non-hospital settings, especially if multiple veins were treated at once or if the patient had a history of clotting or phlebitis.

The same study also found that patients treated with radiofrequency ablation or phlebectomy in standalone units were also more likely to report issues during follow-up — around 1 in every 100 procedures.

By working from a hospital-based clinic, we remove these risks. Every consultation and procedure takes place in a fully regulated medical environment with immediate access to specialist support, emergency pathways and accredited ultrasound facilities. It means that even though complications are rare, you are never more than a few steps away from the safest possible care.
